COLOGNE, Germany: The International Dental Show (IDS) is already seeing strong demand for its 2027 edition. Shortly after exhibitor registration opened, around 1,000 companies from over 50 countries and representing key segments of the dental industry had confirmed their participation and secured exhibition space. This strong early response underlines the international reach of IDS and points to continued confidence in the event, which will take place from 16 to 20 March 2027 in Cologne.

High rebooking rates and early exhibitor demand

The positive start to exhibitor registration is reflected in an above-average rebooking rate. Numerous companies that exhibited at the previous IDS registered again within the first few weeks of registration opening. Moreover, a growing number of new exhibitors are taking advantage of the early registration period to ensure their participation at IDS 2027.

For many companies, securing exhibition space early is of growing strategic importance. Early booking supports optimal placement within the exhibition halls and allows exhibitors to plan their stands more efficiently. This creates favourable conditions for exhibitor visibility and enables the organisers to develop thematic clusters that improve orientation and the overall experience for trade visitors.

Cologne remains a global hub for the dental industry

In 2027, IDS will again make Cologne the central meeting point for the international dental community. Manufacturers, dental and laboratory professionals, buyers and other industry representatives from all over the globe will come together in the city to present and discuss innovations, digital solutions and future-oriented technologies. As the leading global trade fair for the dental industry, IDS reflects the full breadth of the dental industry and brings together established market leaders, innovative new companies and the next generation of industry professionals. The strong early response from companies around the world underlines IDS’s ambition to continue setting the international agenda for the dental industry next year. Outside Germany, the strongest exhibitor participation currently comes from Italy, South Korea, France, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. Group registrations have also been received from the US, China, Brazil, Bulgaria, Israel, Japan and Taiwan.

Positive outlook for IDS 2027

The current registration level is a reliable early indicator of a successful IDS 2027 and reflects the strong momentum in the dental industry. This positive start builds on the success of the 2025 trade fair and strengthens expectations for the 42nd IDS. The response from the dental community confirms the event’s significance as an essential platform for exchange, business development and the future direction of the dental industry. Companies interested in exhibiting can still secure a strategic advantage in their stand location. Further information and registration are available on the event website.
