KaVo and Planmeca unveil a vast range of new products at IDS 2025

KaVo Dental and Planmeca are presenting an extensive range of product innovations at the 2025 International Dental Show (IDS). The companies are showcasing their portfolios in Hall 1.2, where visitors can learn more about the latest digital dental solutions, view live product demonstrations and join inspiring discussions with their peers and industry experts.

Planmeca reveals new products across all main categories

Planmeca’s product portfolio offers tools for a fully integrated digital workflow, including imaging devices, dental chair units, and CAD/CAM and software solutions. At IDS 2025, the company is introducing new products across all categories. These launches expand and complement its existing range of digital dental equipment and software.

In extra-oral imaging, the Planmeca Viso family will be complemented with three new devices: the Planmeca Viso G1CBCT imaging unit and two 2D imaging units. In intra-oral imaging, Planmeca is launching a handheld radiographic device, Planmeca ProX GO.

Planmeca is also presenting a new dental chair unit line: the Pro family. The previously launched Planmeca Pro50 treatment unit will be complemented with two new models: Planmeca Pro50 S, featuring ambidextrous side delivery, and Planmeca Pro40 with side-lifting functionality.

CAD/CAM solutions are being enhanced with the introduction of the wireless Planmeca Onyx intra-oral scanner, the advanced Planmeca Creo X dental 3D printer and the high-quality Planmeca Onyx Lab desktop scanner.

IDS visitors can also preview Planmeca’s new Romexis 7 software, which introduces built-in artificial intelligence features. Other software highlights include the Romexis VR application for viewing 3D images and visualising implant plans in virtual reality. Furthermore, Planmeca is showcasing its new and improved Planmeca Insights device monitoring solution.

KaVo presents its latest innovations at IDS 2025

“The Elements of Excellence” campaign, which KaVo is launching at IDS 2025, highlights the company’s latest innovations. It represents everything the company stands for, including its vision, people, history, customers and products. Similar to a kaleidoscope that forms new patterns through varying combinations of colours and shapes, KaVo continuously develops new technologies and products that aim to redefine and improve dentistry.

Visitors can look forward to the launch of the new KaVo amiQa dental chair unit. As the successor to the KaVo Primus 1058, the latest KaVo dental chair unit is a reliable friend in everyday practice. The updated KaVo ESTETICA E70/E80 Vision and KaVo uniQa dental chair units include several new features designed to enhance performance and user experience. The Germany-based company also continues to develop its range of dental equipment and instruments, and its newest products are being introduced at IDS: the KaVo Lumina operating light and the latest generation of KaVo eSCALER scalers.

Furthermore, KaVo is expanding the existing ProXam portfolio for intra-oral and extra-oral dental imaging as well as intra-oral scanning. In addition to a new 2D and 3D imaging device, new features such as the KaVo ProCeph and ProFace are available. Artificial intelligence tools and implant planning using virtual reality are particular highlights of the new Romexis software.
