COLOGNE, Germany: KaVo Dental and Planmeca are presenting a vast range of product innovations at the 2023 International Dental Show (IDS). The companies are showcasing their product portfolios side by side in Hall 1.2, where visitors can learn more about the latest digital dental solutions, follow live product demonstrations and join inspiring discussions with colleagues and industry experts.
Planmeca offers all the tools for a fully integrated and digital workflow, including dental units, imaging devices, and CAD/CAM and software solutions. At IDS 2023, the company is introducing new products in all the main product categories. Packed with intelligent features and sophisticated design details, the latest Planmeca innovations allow dental professionals to optimise their daily work and concentrate fully on their patients.
The Planmeca Pro50 dental care unit is a true masterpiece of sophisticated technology, genuine adaptability and exceptional ergonomics, offering a wide range of individually adaptable features. The Planmeca Viso G3 extra-oral imaging unit is the latest addition to the Planmeca Viso family of CBCT units. The new unit offers premium imaging of the whole dentition to dental practitioners around the world and comes with the full benefits of Viso technology.
Planmeca is also introducing new features to the Romexis software platform, including a new artificial intelligence-based CBCT segmentation tool and a new module for creating orthodontic simulations. There are also improvements to existing software modules. Other product highlights include a mobile scanning station, a new chairside milling unit with both wet and dry processing capabilities as well as the HeySmile clear aligner solution.
More information on Planmeca’s IDS highlights can be found at the company’s booth (#A020−C029) in Hall 1.2 or at www.planmeca.com/ids.
KaVo Dental’s product range as part of Planmeca family
KaVo Dental is showcasing its own range of premium products, for the first time as part of the Planmeca family, at their own booth just next door. The following are some reasons to visit KaVo’s booth in Cologne.
More than 1,000 new KaVo uniQa treatment units were sold in the six months after its launch in 2022, and it has been a great success right from the start. Now, several new additional features are available, such as the new RELAXline soft upholstery and the CONNECTlink software module, which makes data from the practice management software directly available at the treatment unit.
Following the trend of digitalisation, KaVo is presenting a true highlight at this year’s IDS for the first time: the new KaVo ProXam imaging portfolio. The new KaVo ProXam series utilises the high-quality technology of the tried-and-tested Planmeca imaging portfolio and thus completes KaVo’s premium product offering. As part of the KaVo/Planmeca product family, the all-in-one software Romexis is, of course, also compatible with the relevant imaging devices and ensures that all components can be networked in a smart and easy way.
There is also news in the area of KaVo’s beloved instrument family. The KaVo portfolio of red high-speed instruments continues to grow. From the second half of 2023, there will be two new high-speed contra-angle handpieces available: the KaVo MASTERmatic LUX M45 L and, especially for surgical use, the KaVo SURGmatic S14 L Pro. In addition to smart new features such as CoolHead technology, both instruments stand out owing to their unique head and knee angle combination for optimal access and excellent visibility. Besides these, the tried-and-tested EXPERT instrument series has also had a product update, and the KaVo EXPERTmatic E25 L and E25 C high-speed contra-angle handpieces are now even more attractive.
More information on KaVo’s IDS highlights can be found at the company’s booth (#A010–C019) in Hall 1.2 or at www.kavo.com/ids-products.
