HAMBURG, Germany: The Treatment Planning in Aligner Orthodontics (TPAO) congress is the world’s largest meeting in the field of digital treatment planning. It aims to empower orthodontists to reclaim complete control over their aligner treatments by learning more about how the artificial intelligence underlying all planning software works and how to use it to achieve exact clinical treatment results without compromise.
On 24 and 25 November, over 1,000 orthodontists and 200 technicians from around the world are expected to attend the TPAO congress at the Schuppen 52 event venue in Hamburg in Germany. A number of experienced aligner providers, such as Dr Chris Chang, Dr Kenji Ojima, Dr Susana Palma, Dr Manuel Román, Dr Sam Daher, Dr David Raickovic and Prof. Benedict Wilmes, will demonstrate their complex clinical cases. Additionally, aligner specialist technicians will present all the details, tips and tricks for digital treatment planning.
At the TPAO software lounge, participants will have the opportunity to see and test current aligner software such as used for the Spark, ClinCheck, Angel Aligner and ClearCorrect systems, presented by specialists. Additionally, they will receive an overview of well-known in-house planning software, such as OnyxCeph3 and NemoCast.
Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their open aligner cases directly with the specialists and have them worked on live. The direct and practical knowledge imparted in this way could be extremely helpful in future treatment planning.
Two areas of the congress
In-house and laboratory aligner production will also be intensively discussed during the congress. The congress will offer two areas, one for orthodontists and one for orthodontic technicians. In the orthodontic part of the congress, topics such as the limits of aligner treatment planning and the use of hybrid and supplementary techniques, early treatment and using aligners as functional orthodontic appliances will also be examined. Attendees will also obtain insights into the differences in planning for various aligner systems.
In the second part of the congress, called the Technicians’ Deep Dive, dental technicians will have the opportunity to learn the intricacies of aligner treatment planning and gain a competitive advantage in the market. With dedicated orthodontic and technical speakers, the focus will be on practical, technically useful and behind-the-scenes knowledge.
A unique concept
The TPAO congress is an event recommended for both orthodontists and technicians. The congress provides a unique opportunity to further educate oneself in the field of digital treatment planning in aligner orthodontics and to network with other experts from around the world.
More information on the event can be found here.
Editorial note:
The TPAO is affiliated with the European Aligner Society.
