COLOGNE, Germany: InviSolution, a digital orthodontic treatment support company for Invisalign-certified orthodontists, is preparing for the second international Treatment Planning in Aligner Orthodontics (TPAO) congress, which will take place on 22 and 23 November in Cologne. This one-of-a-kind congress combines presentations from highly experienced orthodontists as well as dental technicians, making it a truly interdisciplinary event and providing participants with an opportunity to gain a more profound understanding of digital treatment planning.

This year’s congress will focus on sequential movements, ClinCheck staging, strategies for anchorage, communication with technicians, and challenges of the software’s artificial intelligence and their solutions—with reference to biomechanics. Participants will leave with a deeper knowledge of the underlying software and will understand how best to use it to create more efficient treatment plans.

Matthias Peper, CEO and founder of inviSolution, is looking forward to this year’s event: “Last year, we had more than 80 participants. Honestly, I did not expect all this great feedback from the participants, but once I heard it, I had to do everything in my power to make this a yearly event. I made it my mission to teach doctors to truly understand the system and work with it in a way that gives them the best possible results for their patients and the practice. By making some simple tweaks in the way we work with the ClinCheck software, the doctors achieve a lot fewer refinements and much happier patients, not to speak of the time and effort reduction. This congress, combining all the knowledge of practising and experienced Invisalign providers with our technical knowledge, is helping doctors and their staff to achieve just that.”

The speaker line-up and their lecture titles:

Dr Jörg Schwarze: “The precise approach to ClinCheck reviews—How to achieve the least amount of refinements”

Dr Dietmar Zuran: “The reasons why the software is (necessarily) faulty—Challenges in planning and biomechanics”

Dr Boris Sonnenberg: “Effectiveness and efficiency: The perfect setup/different staging protocols for distalisation”

Dr Thomas Drechsler: “3D treatment planning based on 3D CBCT—The significance of incisor inclination in treatment planning”

Dr Mareike Niederwahrenbrock: “The software algorithms for placing attachments in relation to thresholds, hierarchy rules and clinical solutions”

Dr Andreas Dasy: “Challenges in treatment planning with sequential distalisation, IPR and Class II elastics”

Matthias Peper, certified master dental technician: “ClinCheck basics: Best practice staging and internal protocols”; “The latest ClinCheck software tools”; “Simple ClinCheck communication for individual staging”; “When and how should the artificial intelligence be questioned?”

Additionally, ClinCheck hands-on workshops will be offered on Saturday afternoon. These will allow participants the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge under the guidance of the highly experienced inviSolution team.

On 22 November, a gala night will be held in the Hotel im Wasserturm. This will provide participants with a chance to relax and get to know one another. Judging from last year’s gala, this year’s party promises to be legendary and should not be missed.

Registration is now open on the TPAO congress homepage. Early bird discounts are on offer until 31 July and 31 August, respectively.
