BERLIN, Germany: German manufacturer Vysinol has announced the upcoming market launch of an innovative, alcohol-free disinfectant developed specifically to meet the stringent hygiene requirements of dental practices. The product offers an effective yet gentle alternative to conventional alcohol-based disinfectants.
The alcohol-free formulation is based on bioactive silver (0.057%), plant extracts and distilled water. The disinfectant is particularly gentle on the skin and safe for use on sensitive surfaces thanks to the elimination of alcohol, toxic chemicals and hydrogen peroxide. At the same time, it provides comprehensive protection against bacteria, viruses and fungi. Its efficacy has been confirmed in independent, accredited laboratories in accordance with DIN EN standards.
Vysinol Dent and Vysinol Unit were specifically developed for disinfection in dental practices.
The European Chemicals Agency is currently considering restricting or even banning alcohol-based disinfectants owing to potential health risks for both staff and patients. Products that contain alcohol have been linked to health concerns such as skin irritation and respiratory issues as well as long-term health complications. With Vysinol, dental practices can be assured of a high level of safety, as the alcohol-free disinfectant meets the highest hygiene standards while protecting both users and patients from potential risks.
The product range includes Vysinol Dent, designed specifically for disinfecting surfaces in dental practices, and Vysinol Unit, which is intended for cleaning and disinfecting water systems in dental equipment. Both formulations are designed to simplify daily practice routines by ensuring effective disinfection that is gentle on material.
During development, special attention was given to environmental sustainability and user safety. By eliminating alcohol, Vysinol removes potential health risks without compromising disinfection performance. Additionally, the alcohol-free formula prevents discolouration or damage to sensitive surfaces such as that of treatment chairs, helping to extend the lifespan of dental equipment.
Vysinol products are already available for sale in Germany, and the company is currently looking for distribution partners in various European countries.
