Rescue Implant

The Rescue system (wide implants) has one prosthetic connection for all diameters. There is also an extra wide healing abutment, 10mm, that will allow you to completely cover the site of an immediate molar extraction site. It can later be changed for a 6 or 8 diameter healing abutment, depending on the emergence profile your restorative doctor wants to create.

The Rescue surgical kit has a different surgical protocol. The use of trephine drills allows you to harvest autogenous bone, which you can particulate and use as grafting material, combining it with other grafting material if you wish. It also has drill stops to prevent going further than the available length of the site. They are made for the following lengths: 5, 6, 7, 8.5, and 10 mm.

There is basically a two step drilling protocol for the Rescue system (2 steps in the maxilla, 2-3 steps in the mandible), which prevents overheating of the bone, something that could happen if you used a traditional surgical system, starting with a thin pilot drill and then slightly increasing width.

The Rescue system has a 2.5 mm wide abutment screw, which strengthens this implant and makes it much better able to resist lateral forces. A standard abutment screw is only 2 mm wide. A Rescue implant can withstand up to 420 N of insertion torque without deformation.

The Rescue implant allows for a more natural emergence profile and eliminates cantilevered restorations, which cause stress on the implant and are hard to maintain hygienically.
