WROCŁAW, Poland: Align Technology, known for its Invisalign system of clear aligners, iTero intra-oral scanners and exocad CAD/CAM software, is a sponsor of the 20th annual meeting of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD), currently taking place in Wrocław until tomorrow. This is part of the company’s ongoing efforts in support of the Polish dental market. Align has also established a manufacturing facility, treatment planning centre and educational training centre for Invisalign dentists in the city.

ESCD promotes research and continuing education on aesthetic dental procedures. Dental professionals attending the ESCD meeting will have the opportunity to participate in lectures and workshops led by Invisalign-trained dentists, including Dr Piero Venezia, a specialist in prosthetics, including removable prosthodontics and implant restorations, and Dr Jan Kurtz-Hoffman, a specialist in aesthetic dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation. They will cover various important topics, including minimally invasive approaches in dentistry, digital solutions in restorative dentistry and Invisalign Smile Architect software for orthodontic and restorative treatment planning, today and tomorrow. During the congress, dental professionals can also have a closer look at the latest innovations and digital dentistry solutions at the Align Technology booth.

“In my workshop and lecture, I will focus on the use of the Invisalign system as a preparation for prosthetic restoration, discuss a wide range of possible solutions, and advise attendees on the planning of minimally invasive cases and the integration of this concept in their practices,” said Dr Venezia.

“The focus of my presentation will be the comparison of traditional analogue treatment concepts with modern digital dental treatment concepts, including the use of intra-oral scanners such as the iTero 5D Plus, the integration of modern face scanners and the pre-prosthetic application of clear aligners like the Invisalign system, a groundbreaking technology for correcting dental misalignments. Advancing digitalisation opens up new possibilities, such as the use of artificial intelligence to support diagnosis and treatment planning. It can be expected that further technological innovations will continue to advance minimally invasive dentistry, providing patients with even gentler and more efficient treatment options,” Dr Kurtz-Hoffman commented.
