Dental News - CURAPROX Brazil opens new distribution centre in São Caetano do Sul

SÃO CAETANO DO SUL, Brazil: Covering 3,600 sqm, CURAPROX Brazil’s new headquarters and distribution centre were inaugurated in São Caetano do Sul, a city in the São Paulo state, on 13 June. With 3,000 sqm for storage, the new warehouse has space for over 2,200 pallets and was specifically designed to always keep six months of stock on hand as a buffer for potential import problems, a recurring problem in the past.

According to Dr Hugo Roberto Lewgoy, Scientific Director for CURAPROX Brazil, the decision to open the new distribution centre was necessary to meet the significant demand for CURAPROX’s oral health products in the Brazilian market. Around 300 people attended the inauguration, including customers, suppliers, members of the press and local television, as well as representatives of the Paulistano and Brazilian dental associations. Also present were Swiss Consul General in São Paulo Urs Brönnimann and Head of Swiss Business Hub Brazil Philippe Praz.

After a festive Alphorn performance, the new building was officially inaugurated with addresses by various speakers, followed by a Swiss culinary experience. Although the event ended officially at 8.30 p.m., it was so successful that the last guests only left at around midnight.
