Charlotte, N.C., US: Held every two years, the International Dental Show (IDS) is the leading trade show for the dental industry. Dentsply Sirona will have a significant presence at the 2023 event, and all its activities there will be tied to the theme “United for better dentistry”. The company recognises the need for even more connectivity, collaboration and partnership in order to move the dental industry forward and improve oral health globally.

Attendees are invited to experience the digital universe at Dentsply Sirona’s immersive 20,451 ft2 (1,900 m2) booth. Situated in Hall 11.2, the booth will feature the company’s entire portfolio of products and solutions, which visitors will be able to see in action through product demonstrations and live presentations.

A key highlight on display will be DS Core—an open, cloud-based platform powered by a collaboration between Dentsply Sirona and Google Cloud. DS Core is designed to seamlessly integrate with Dentsply Sirona devices, services and technologies in order to improve practice efficiency, foster collaboration with specialists and laboratories and support dental professionals throughout the entire patient journey. DS Core Create complements this offering by providing easy access to high-quality designs for Primeprint created by expert laboratory technicians. With DS Core Care, users receive a comprehensive, integrated equipment service and support solution. Trade show visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the platform solution directly at the booth as well as to register for DS Core and test it for three months free of charge.

Additional booth experiences will include Dentsply Sirona’s intra-oral scanner Primescan Connect as well as Primeprint Solution, which is designed for dental practices and laboratories that want to expand their treatment and service offerings with medical-grade 3D printing.

“Dentsply Sirona is a pioneer when it comes to digital dentistry. The company truly invented it back in the 1980s, and I am proud to partner with it for IDS 2023,” said Dr Gertrud Fabel, a dentist from Munich in Germany. “I have long been impressed by the company’s innovative solutions and seamless workflows, which help improve the treatment experience for both me and my patients. I am excited to see what it has in store for IDS 2023,” she continued.

Uniting voices for dentistry

Dentsply Sirona will also bring together leading voices for thought-provoking panel discussions on crucial topics. The following questions will be addressed:

  • How will the latest digital innovations shape dentistry in the future?
  • How do cloud solutions drive practices and laboratories forward?
  • How do we collectively have an impact on better treatment outcomes?
  • What does sustainability mean for dentistry, and what actions can practice teams take in order to create a more sustainable business?

Featuring thought leaders from both inside and outside the dental industry, the conversations promise to deliver unique perspectives on how these rapid societal changes are affecting the dental world.

“IDS offers a fantastic moment to unite with the global dental community, and we are eagerly looking forward to the next edition in 2023,” said Gerard Campbell, group vice president for commercial EMEA at Dentsply Sirona. “We know that through close collaboration and partnership, we can take dentistry to the next level and ultimately help bring healthy smiles to more people around the world.”

Dentsply Sirona will implement several sustainability measures to reduce its carbon footprint for the event, in line with the goals set out in its BEYOND sustainability strategy. The booth will be made mostly of re-used furniture, and European-based employees will be encouraged to travel to IDS by train, local public transport or car-pooling. The company will also prioritise digital communications, adopting a paper-free approach wherever possible, alongside other measures and activities that customers can learn more about at IDS.
