CHARLOTTE, N.C., US: Primeprint, Dentsply Sirona’s intuitive, automated, medical-grade 3D printing solution, is set to receive an upgrade that will help users increase efficiency. The company is also announcing the launch of Primeprint Nitrogenerator, a companion device that provides an integrated, autonomous nitrogen supply for processing unit.
According to a press release from the dental manufacturer, the new solutions are designed to streamline workflows in dental clinics and laboratories and improve the user experience and outcomes for dental professionals.
Improved efficiency and smarter nitrogen supply
The upgrade will deliver performance improvements for splint materials and model and tray applications. Nightguards can now be printed in approximately 14 minutes. This speed boost reduces printing time by around 50%.
The Primeprint Nitrogenerator device provides an autonomous supply of the gas to the post-processing unit, eliminating the need for frequent refills of bottles and thereby increasing convenience for dental professionals. Additionally, the integrated nitrogen flow during post-processing enhances the mechanical surface properties of the final printed parts, improving durability and overall quality, according to previously gathered data.
Max Milz, group vice president of connected technology solutions, commented: “Time is one of the most valuable resources in a dental practice. That’s why innovations like the latest speed upgrade for manufacturing and the new [nitrogen device] are so impactful—they help teams work faster without compromising quality.”
Miltz added: “All of our latest innovations are designed to support dental professionals to unlock the power of connected dentistry.”
