ZURICH, Switzerland: Dental implantology leader Nobel Biocare has expanded its portfolio of regenerative products with the launch of creos syntoprotect, a new line of dense PTFE membranes. According to the company, the expansion will allow creos—its regenerative solutions brand—to make a decisive movement towards meeting the ever-changing needs of dental professionals.
The creos syntoprotect dense PTFE membranes are designed to withstand exposure to the oral cavity for extraction socket management when primary closure is not possible. The line also offers 13 shapes of titanium-reinforced dense PTFE membranes for ridge augmentation and for grafting large osseous defects. Each of these options is easy to trim and versatile in its shaping and positioning, according to the company.
With the launch of syntoprotect, Nobel Biocare is presenting a new solution that is based on an established technology backed by more than 25 years of clinical practice.
“With syntoprotect, we aim to provide our customers with the confidence and peace of mind they are looking for,” said Philip Schulze-Smidt, vice president and general manager of regenerative solutions, business development and strategy at Nobel Biocare.
“The result is a line of synthetic solutions that promises to bring proven predictability1, 2 and efficacy3–5 to tissue and bone regeneration, while introducing attractive design features,” he added.
“Every patient is different; we know it, and our customers know it. Creos syntoprotect marks a turning point for our creos line, complementing our barrier membrane offering so we can provide dental professionals with natural and synthetic solutions for different indications, from a source they can trust,” Schulze-Smidt said.
Creos syntoprotect is now available in Europe and the US through either local Nobel Biocare sales representatives or the company’s online store. It will become available in additional geographical areas in the coming months.
