SEOUL, South Korea: Osstem Implant invests heavily in research and development to strengthen its technological competitiveness, particularly in digitally driven dental implant therapy. One of its key digital solutions is OneGuide. Introduced in 2016, the digital implant guide system supports virtual implant planning and surgical guide fabrication based on patient CT data, helping clinicians perform implant procedures with greater accuracy and efficiency.
Over the last ten years, OneGuide has been used in more than 360,000 clinical cases and has established a global user base across 32 countries. One of the factors behind the success of the system is its dedicated surgical kits, which support guided implant placement in a variety of clinical situations, including edentulous jaws, cases requiring sinus lift and implant sites with limited bone width.
OneGuide enhances procedural convenience by supporting implant placement with an average of only three steps for osteotomy preparation. Clinicians can adjust the protocol from two to four steps, depending on bone quality. By providing stable drilling performance and efficient cutting capability, the system helps reduce procedure time and supports predictable implant placement and improved surgical efficiency.
Furthermore, Osstem is developing a comprehensive digital workflow centred around OneGuide. By integrating solutions such as the OneClick electronic charting and diagnostic platform, OneMS implant planning software and OneJet high-precision 3D printer, the company aims to further improve the accuracy and efficiency of its digital tools, expand their clinical uses and connect the different stages of dental treatment.
A company spokesperson commented: “Based on our experience in guided surgery and the research and development capabilities we have built over the past decade, we will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in the field of digital dentistry. By integrating software and hardware into a comprehensive solution, we aim to further improve clinical efficiency and treatment convenience.”
OneGuide education seminars
Osstem offers OneGuide educational seminars as part of its global education programme. The seminars are delivered through the company’s 32 overseas subsidiaries and are customised to local training needs. The company is expanding its digital implantology education through live surgery sessions, hands-on training in guided surgery and content delivered via the OSSTEM TV online educational platform. Ultimately, Osstem aims to increase the global adoption of digital implantology solutions in clinical practice.
