VENICE, Italy: The Digital Dentistry Society (DDS) recently held its 2025 global congress on Lido, welcoming more than 1,000 participants from over 70 countries. Jointly organised with the International Association of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology, the meeting marked the society’s tenth anniversary and ran under the theme “Dentistry between Artificial Intelligence, Mixed Reality and Robotics”.

Hosted at the Palazzo del Cinema, the three-day programme combined lectures with live demonstrations, poster sessions and an exhibition featuring more than 30 companies. Scientific sessions covered 3D imaging, artificial intelligence-guided implantology, 3D printing and end-to-end digital workflows. At the congress, the society also spotlighted its certification programme and presented the new Digital Dentistry Journal, reinforcing its focus on scientific quality and clinically applicable evidence.

“This congress confirmed the global leadership of the DDS as a reference point for digital dentistry. With ten years of exciting history and remarkable growth, DDS has proved to be a truly international scientific society—connecting professionals worldwide, including both scholars with impressive academic experience and high-level clinicians focused on the intelligent use of innovative digital technologies,” said DDS President Dr Francesco Mangano.

According to DDS, exhibitors and attendees commended the event’s format and venue for fostering networking among clinicians interested in evaluating and implementing digital innovations in daily practice. A highlight in this regard was the gala dinner at the nearby Palazzo del Casinò, featuring an awards ceremony recognising companies that achieved DDS certification.

DDS announced that its next main event—the State of the Art Conference—will be held in Antwerp in Belgium on 16 and 17 October 2026. Further details are available here.
