LISBON, Portugal: From 24 to 26 September, the 33rd annual congress of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) will take place in Lisbon. Registration is still open, and discounted rates are available until 17 September. Under the theme “Delivering health and predictability: Shaping the future of patient care”, the event will explore innovative approaches in implant dentistry. The congress will include an exhibition at which companies will showcase their products, technologies and solutions.
The congress will be held at the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa, the largest conference centre in Lisbon, and will bring together clinicians, researchers and professionals working in the dental industry around the world. The scientific programme will feature lectures, interactive sessions and case-based discussions covering topics such as implant surgery, prosthetics, peri-implant diseases, basic research and clinical innovations.
Known for its historic architecture, scenic location and blend of tradition and modernity, Lisbon will provide the backdrop for an international meeting dedicated to advances in osseointegration. A special partnership with the Brazilian Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry will be a feature of the upcoming congress, supporting international collaboration and knowledge exchange in implant dentistry. On 26 September, the congress will include two sessions presented by the society on the past, present and future of implantology.
The official language of the 2026 EAO congress will be English. Artificial intelligence-powered simultaneous interpretation into more than 60 languages will be available for all sessions in the main programme, and participants will be able to listen on their own mobile devices.
The congress programme will also include networking opportunities. Among other social events, a lunch on 24 September for first-time attendees will welcome new participants and offer an opportunity to connect with EAO committee members and fellow delegates. The annual White Party will take place on 25 September at the historic Pátio da Galé in the heart of Lisbon. The evening will combine relaxed conversation over food and drinks with music and dancing. The dress code is white with a touch of red. More information about the programme and registration can be found at congress.eao.org.
