VIENNA, Austria: While attendees of the 26th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) are still reflecting on the congress that took place last week in Madrid in Spain, the event organisers are already working hard in preparing for the next congress. The 27th event is going to be held in the Austrian capital of Vienna from 11 to 13 October 2018 at the Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Center.

In Madrid, the EAO announced its exciting programme themed “Dreams and reality in implant dentistry” that will cover several topics, focusing on diagnostics on the first day, surgical treatment on the second day, and prostheses and follow-up on the final day.

In addition to lectures by world-renowned speakers, interactive elements involving the audience, and surgical video sessions, the event organisers plan on introducing a congress premiere and event highlight in the form of three live surgeries.

Dental professionals from Russia and the Baltic countries will be hosted as the guest region during the congress. The EAO wishes to provide these researchers and clinicians with a unique opportunity to present their scientific studies, both as e-posters and in oral presentation sessions.

Registration will be available from April 2018 at www.eao.org. Exclusive registration rates will be offered for EAO members; members of the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Implantologie, Österreichische Gesellschaft für Parodontologie, Österreichische Gesellschaft für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie, Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Orale Chirurgie, Medizin und Radiologie, and Österreichische Gesellschaft für Kieferorthopädie; and attendees from Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
