NEW YORK, U.S.: Technological advances in digital dentistry are rapidly changing the way the dental team practices in the operatory and laboratory. In an upcoming free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Thursday, 14 June, an expert will be discussing surgical planning software for implant placement, prosthetic design software for digital wax-ups and their integration possibilities.
Webinar host Ron Roche has been involved with 2-D and 3-D digital dental imaging and implant dentistry since the late 1990s and is currently the Director of Business Development for Dental Wings, an international provider of digital dentistry technology. Roche believes that predictable treatment success depends on comprehensive assessment from both surgical and prosthetic perspectives, as well as the selection of appropriate implants and custom restorative components.
In the webinar, Roche will be discussing the integration possibilities between surgical planning software for implant placement and prosthetic design software for digital wax-ups. He will also focus on the relationship between the dentist and the laboratory and the many benefits to the treatment team of using digital dentistry solutions.
Initially trained in engineering and business, Roche has developed expertise in the application of digital technologies to dentistry to achieve safer, more predictable and more efficient workflows. Over his career, he has helped hundreds of clinicians and technicians implement a range of digital technologies in their practices and laboratories, including radiographic and surface imaging systems, electronic dental charting and practice management systems, as well as CAD/CAM.
The 1-hour webinar, titled “Immediate temporization with digital surgical & prosthetic treatment planning for implant therapy,” will be broadcast live on Thursday, June 14, at 4 p.m.EDT. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.
Dental professionals who are interested in attending the course may register online here.
