NEW YORK, U.S.: In a free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Friday, May 11, endodontic specialist Dr. Stephen Buchanan will be discussing state-of-the-art endodontic techniques and technologies. Additionally, he will be sharing several tips that he believes participants can apply for immediate improvement to their daily practices.
During the webinar, Buchanan will be covering such techniques and technologies as surgical visualization, endodontic and surgical practice models, dynamic CT-guided endodontic access, obturation and the removal of broken files. According to Buchanan, the valuable information provided will give participants a solid start in integrating the concepts and technologies into their practices.
Valedictorian of his class at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco, U.S., Buchanan went on to complete the endodontic graduate program at Temple University, Philadelphia, U.S., in 1980. Pursuing 3-D anatomy research early in his career, in 1986, Buchanan became the first person in dentistry to use micro-CT technology to view the intricacies of the root canal structure. In 1989, he established Dental Education Laboratories and subsequently built a state-of-the-art teaching laboratory devoted to hands-on endodontic instruction, where he continues to teach today.
The 1-hour webinar, titled “The art of endodontics,” will be broadcast live on Friday, May 11, at 2 p.m.EDT. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.
Dental professionals who are interested in attending the course may register online here.
