Innovations in biomaterials aim to advance oral regeneration

VIENNA, Austria: BioHorizons Camlog is a leading provider of premium dental implant systems, restorative components, biologics and digital solutions. At EuroPerio11, the company will be showcasing its latest biomaterials and highlighting the advanced technology behind its two implant systems, both featuring a shared connection. In addition, BioHorizons Camlog will be hosting educational sessions, including a workshop on 14 May and a corporate forum on 15 May.

Visitors to the BioHorizons Camlog booth (C20) can explore the latest innovations in biomaterials, including Striate+ and the newly launched bone substitute CeraOss HYA. The spotlight is also on CONELOG Progressive-Line and Tapered Pro Conical, two implants featuring a user-friendly, shared connection.

The workshop, titled “Sustainable implant therapy—what are the crucial prerequisites?,” will focus on the critical impact of precise 3D implant positioning on the long-term stability of implant-supported restorations. Dr Gerhard Iglhaut will discuss precision planning and positioning with surgical templates, the importance of peri-implant tissue maintenance, and the use of innovative allogenic and xenogeneic hard and soft tissue replacement materials, among other topics. The workshop will take place on 14 May from 1:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m in room Schubert 4–6.

Under the title “Next-generation biomaterials for immediate dental implants: Challenges and solutions,” Drs Homa Zadeh, Gonzalo Blasi and Edward Pat Allen will provide insights into the challenges and solutions associated with the use of next-generation biomaterials for immediate dental implants as part of the corporate forum. The session will cover key strategies for optimising implant success and exploring the latest developments in biomaterials for immediate loading protocols. The forum will take place on 15 May from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m in room Stolz 2. It will be moderated by Prof. Hom-Lay Wang.
