COLOGNE, Germany: At the International Dental Show (IDS) 2025, the Ivoclar Group is celebrating 20 years of IPS e.max, its globally successful ceramic system, with which more than 230 million restorations have been delivered to date. This milestone underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to pioneering solutions in restorative dentistry—a mission that continues with this year’s product innovations.

Covering chairside restorations, digital prostheses, smart inventory systems and preventive care, Ivoclar is presenting a comprehensive portfolio designed to put efficiency, workflow optimisation and patient comfort at the heart of modern dentistry.

“No matter which technology our customers choose, Ivoclar stands for exceptional aesthetics, uncompromising quality and efficient processes. And we’re here to support them every step of the way—with tailored training and reliable service,” said Markus Heinz, CEO of the Ivoclar Group, during the press conference held yesterday.

A key highlight is the new IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime block, developed for high-speed fabrication of monolithic restorations directly at the chairside. With a superfast sintering time of just 15 minutes, this high-strength zirconia enables same-day restorations—without compromising on aesthetics or strength. A flexural strength of 1,100 MPa and a seamless shade gradient ensure durable, natural-looking results with minimal tooth preparation.

Also new is Tetric plus, a universal composite that delivers simplified handling: four shades, up to 4 mm layering depth, universal application across all four quadrants and an innovative four-filler technology. Available in sculptable and flowable consistencies, it provides excellent shade blending and efficiency for both anterior and posterior restorations.

In the field of digital prostheses, Ivoclar is introducing Ivotion Base Print, its first 3D-printing material for definitive denture bases, offering PMMA-like quality. The material is now validated for use with the Ivoclar PrograPrint PR5, SprintRay Pro 2 and Asiga printers. Combining aesthetics, reliability and workflow efficiency, it creates new possibilities for dental laboratories and practices worldwide.

The new Ivoclar Inventory System offers a smart storage solution that uses radio-frequency identification and tracks materials, automates reordering and saves valuable time and resources—ideal for high-volume laboratories and clinics.

Ivoclar is also setting new standards in prevention and care. Its repositioned product line includes four VivaDent highlights: VivaDent Protecting Mouthwash, VivaDent Fluoridation Gel, VivaDent Protecting Gel and VivaDent Polishing Paste. Developed in collaboration with preventive care professionals, the range boosts efficiency in professional prophylaxis and enhances patient comfort.

“IDS is so much more than a trade show. It’s a platform for exchange and inspiration,” Heinz added. “Alongside our innovations, I’m especially looking forward to engaging directly with visitors at our stand and throughout the supporting programme.”

Ivoclar is presenting its full product portfolio at IDS 2025 in Hall 11.3 at Booth A020/C019. The prevention and care range will be showcased separately in Hall 10.1 at Booth E089.
