DUBAI, UAE: The 2016 ROOTS SUMMIT was supported by almost 20 international sponsors. During the three-day congress, attendees of the event had the opportunity to see and experiment with the latest developments in endodontic equipment and technology.

One of the two main sponsors was Endostar, a sub-brand of Polish dental products manufacturer Poldent, which offers modern and effective solutions for endodontists worldwide. For over 25 years, the company has designed and produced instruments for root canal treatment in its manufacturing facility in Poland. Since education is one of Endostar’s core missions, the company supported a lecture and workshop held by endodontic expert Dr. Piotr Wujec at the ROOTS SUMMIT.

The second main sponsor of the event was Kerr Dental. For over 100 years, the company has been one of the leading suppliers of endodontic products. Over the years, several key leaders and diverse endodontic companies have joined Kerr. Today, the company offers a complete line of endodontic instruments and rotary systems.

Global Surgical also exhibited at the ROOTS SUMMIT, the company has been operating in the dental market over the past 20 years as one of the leaders in surgical microscopy. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, the company supplies its products both domestically and internationally. About 50 per cent of their orders come as a result of international demand, according to Global.

Caroline Piro, Sales Representative for Global Surgical, told Dental Tribune Online: “Our company has always been supportive of the ROOTS SUMMIT. We provided the microscopes for the workshops, which we feel helped enhance the participants’ learning experience. The event is well-organized and our overall experience has been very positive. Global will definitely continue to support the event.”

Aitziber Martinez, Business Development Manager at META BIOMED, a company founded in 1990 that specializes in dental devices and bio-engineered products, said: “We signed up for a sponsorship of the 2016 ROOTS SUMMIT for various reasons, including the quality of speakers, the location and our trust in the organizer. What I really liked about the event was the fact that there was no commercial motivation underlying the lectures or workshops. It has been one of the best events of 2016.”

The ROOTS SUMMIT in Dubai was also supported by the following companies: CJ Optik, COLTENE, Compass, CROIXTURE, DenMat, Dentsply Sirona, the Dental Tribune Study Club, FKG Dentaire, LABOMED, MANI, Sendoline, Seiler, Tribune CME, VDW and Zeiss.
