VENICE, Italy: After the successful second Congress of the European Aligner Society (EAS), held just over six months ago, the EAS scientific committee received overall consensus that the congress had fulfilled its objectives. The EAS board of directors now has the pleasure of announcing the second EAS Spring Meeting, which will take place in Venice on 29‒31 March and focus on promoting high standards in orthodontic aligner treatment.
Thanks to the continuous advances of all techniques related to aligner orthodontics, the last EAS events were met with great success. The upcoming scientific event will be continuing along the pathway created in 2016 to raise the bar of both clinical and scientific content for the entire industry even higher. Visitors will have the opportunity to attend various presentations, followed by plenary session lectures and company workshops.
The event will kick off on Friday, 29 March, with a forum on new technologies applied to aligner orthodontics. In the main session, which will take place on Saturday, 30 March, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to lectures by experts on topics defined by the EAS scientific committee. These will include some of the most interesting fields of orthodontics, such as 3-D diagnosis and the proper use of 3-D data, biomechanical principles applied to aligner orthodontics, and orthodontic management of open-bite malocclusion and asymmetrical tooth alignment. The increasing treatment of teenagers with aligner orthodontics will also be addressed in the programme. Moreover, experts will be discussing digital smile design and how to integrate it into virtual treatment planning.
EAS has received constant support from the industry, which has helped establish EAS as a reference and the provider of gold standard meetings for aligner orthodontics. EAS is pleased to be able to share best practice and research with meeting attendees.
