VENICE, Italy: The European Aligner Society (EAS) has announced the line-up for its second Spring Meeting, which will take place from 29 to 31 March 2019 at the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice hotel. According to EAS, the programme builds on the success of its most recent meeting, which attracted over 600 attendees, and explores the rapid and perpetual advances in techniques and technologies related to aligner orthodontics.
At the two-day meeting, attendees will see the latest innovations in the field presented by an international line-up of speakers. The event will begin with a forum dedicated to highlighting new technologies in aligner orthodontics, and participants will then have the opportunity to put this learning into practice in a series of hands-on workshops. On the second day, lectures will cover topics such as 3-D diagnosis, the effective use of 3-D data, biomechanic principles in aligner orthodontics, and the use of aligners to manage open bite and asymmetries.
Additionally, the programme curators have included lectures that will provide much-requested information about aligner orthodontics for teenagers, and digital smile design and its integration into virtual treatment planning.
Among the highlights from the announced programme are “Beyond straight teeth: Enhancing orthodontic treatment and diagnosis using 3D technology” by Dr Sean K. Carlson from the US, “Teen treatments in aligner orthodontics” by Dr Julia Haubrich from Germany and “Asymmetries and aligners: From digital planning to treatment mechanics” by Dr Federico Migliori from Italy.
More information about the programme and registration is available on the event website, www.eas-aligners.com/eas-spring-meeting/.
EAS was established to provide information about developments in clear aligner therapy and to support the formal training that takes place at postgraduate level across the European Union.
