BRUSSELS, Belgium: The European Aligner Society (EAS) opened the seventh edition of its annual scientific congress today, marking a decade of excellence and innovation. Over the next three days, the congress will bring the orthodontic community together to honour the society’s fostering of scientific progress, clinical excellence and professional collaboration over the past ten years, while setting the course for the next chapter of aligner orthodontics and digital innovation.

EAS7 aims to engage both companies and clinicians by dedicating a full day today to AlignerLab 3.0. The latest innovations in aligner technology will be presented by the event’s sponsoring companies in Innovation Lab presentations and workshops.

Designed for clinical teams, the Practice Excellence Track will blend science, management and teamwork to strengthen leadership, team synergy and operational excellence in aligner-focused practices. Alongside this programme, the main scientific programme will deliver two full days of plenary lectures tomorrow and on Saturday, as well as a short communication session, covering contemporary clinical strategies and the latest developments in aligner orthodontics.

A new feature, the Ortho Vision programme, will take place on Saturday. It is designed to highlight and support emerging, innovative companies shaping the future of orthodontics and digital dentistry. The programme aims to foster collaboration and engagement between pioneering technology providers and the EAS community of clinicians, researchers and industry partners. It will present the next wave of orthodontic innovation, showcasing fresh ideas, novel technologies and innovative solutions that can enrich clinical practice, elevate the patient experience and contribute to improved treatment outcomes.

EAS strives to bring together all clinicians and manufacturers involved in aligner therapy to employ their combined strengths to raise awareness of the effectiveness of aligner treatment and to highlight new innovations. The society aims to provide information on aligner therapy, underpinned by research and the promotion of high standards in treatment, to clinicians and the public through effective communication and education. The provision of education, the support of scientific research and the establishment of a sustainable international aligner community have been the key areas of focus that have advanced EAS over the past ten years and will continue to do so over the next decade.

From the growth and expansion of the society over the past ten years, it is clear that EAS7, like the events before it, will provide an ideal forum for clinicians from Europe and around the world to enhance their knowledge and clinical skills and to advance the science and art of aligner orthodontics. Since its inaugural meeting in Vienna in 2016, the society has convened the orthodontic community in cities including Venice in Italy, St Julian’s in Malta, Porto in Portugal, Turin in Italy, Valencia in Spain, Rhodes in Greece and Seattle in the US. Through innovative programme sessions and alternative educational delivery methods, EAS will once again strive to be the leading provider of continuing professional development for aligner orthodontists and allied professionals.
