Automation for dental production workflows
Efficiency, precision and reliability are key requirements in modern laboratories. PrograMill 7 and PrograMill 7 Pure combine increased automation with advanced system performance, enabling more efficient process planning. The new series is designed to support a wide range of restorative cases, from routine to more complex, patient-specific restorations. The accompanying PrograMill CAM software calculates milling strategies for different materials and applications. It is designed to calculate milling paths quickly and optimise them, helping to reduce manual finishing and support consistent production results.
Increased spindle power for demanding materials
A key technical feature is the high-performance 1.5 kW spindle, which is designed to process challenging materials such as IPS e.max CAD and titanium alloys quickly and accurately. For ease of use, the new PrograMill 7 series also features a 12 in. display and intuitive user interface.
“The most versatile feature for us is the new power to the spindle. We’re known in my laboratory for doing bigger cases and more complex geometries. So, having that extra power has meant everything for our day-to-day. This newest version really is an improvement,” said John Wilson, owner of Sunrise Dental Laboratory in Yucaipa in California in the US.
Flexible changeover between wet and dry operation
Another key feature of the new PrograMill 7 is its automatic changeover between wet and dry modes without manual cleaning. In dry mode, the built-in ioniser neutralises the static charge of the particles produced during PMMA processing, supporting cleaner evacuation. In wet mode, the integrated Active Air Suction system cleans and dries the milling chamber quickly and thoroughly. Together with automated material and tool changes, these features are intended to support unattended or overnight operation.
PrograMill 7 Pure for in-house production
The PrograMill 7 Pure is a compact option for in-house laboratories and clinical settings where space is limited. It is intended for the production of patient-specific restorations and supports workflows through flexibility, short turnaround times and predictable production processes.
