LONDON, UK: The 2024 Osstem Europe Meeting has officially begun at the iconic Wembley Stadium, bringing together a global audience of leading dental professionals. Organised by the Osstem Implant Scientific Community, the two-day premiere dental symposium is set to feature cutting-edge academic research, innovative clinical techniques, and practical insights from renowned experts in implantology and restorative dentistry.
Session highlights and esteemed speakers
The first session, titled “Clinical procedures for favourable immediate implant placement and loading”, will be moderated by Dr Mukesh Soni (UK). Joining him on stage will be Dr Nigel Saynor (UK), Dr Leonardo Muzzi (Italy) and Prof. Vygandas Rutkūnas (Lithuania), who will delve into the intricacies of immediate implant loading techniques.
The second session, titled “Role of bone regeneration in enhancing successful osseointegration”, will be moderated by Dr Ieva Gendviliene (Lithuania). It will bring together Dr David Chong (US), Dr Ahmed Ashraf (Egypt) and Prof. Silvio Meloni (Italy), each presenting insights on advanced techniques in osseointegration and bone regeneration.
After lunch, the third session, titled “Soft-tissue stability for optimal aesthetic outcomes”, will be led by Dr Árpád Joób-Fancsaly (Hungary). He will be joined by Dr Péter Windisch (Hungary), Prof. Anton Sculean (Switzerland) and Dr Darko Božić (Croatia), who will share their philosophies and strategies for achieving long-term soft-tissue stability.
Dr Matthias Kaupe (Germany) will moderate the fourth session, titled “Discover all benefits from a digital workflow for the treatment of completely edentulous patients”. Attendees will hear from Drs Nikhil Oberai (UK), Andrea Ricci (Italy) and Emanuele Clozza (UK) as they discuss innovative techniques that integrate analogue and digital methodologies.
The fifth session, titled “Gain tips and techniques for the management of implant complications”, will be a panel discussion focusing on flexible and effective approaches to managing implant complications. Led by Dr Kyoungwon Kim (South Korea), the panel will feature Prof. Craig Barclay (UK), Dr Fadi Barrak (UK) and Dr Marco Tallarico (Italy).
The grand finale: A live surgical showcase
The highlight and finale of the symposium will be a live surgical demonstration, titled “Advanced full-arch implant surgery using digital workflow (immediate placement and loading)”. To be moderated by Dr Chong and performed by Dr Arman Barfeie (UK), the real-time demonstration will exemplify the integration of digital techniques in immediate implant placement and loading.
