Osstem meetings impress dentists around the globe

ISTANBUL, Turkey: Global dentistry company Osstem Implant has announced that the 2023 Osstem World Meeting held in Istanbul on 12 and 13 May was a success and drew greater crowds than was initially anticipated.

The first day of the meeting included an implant placement training session and celebratory art performances. More than 1,200 dentists from 32 countries attended. Lee Woo-Seong, consul general of South Korea in Istanbul, delivered congratulatory remarks and expressed his support for Osstem. The event was also attended by prominent figures in the Turkish dentistry community, including Dr Ahmet Tarık İşmen, president of the Turkish Dental Association, and directors of local branches of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and the Korea Tourism Organization. Over 1,050 attendees were present at the five lectures offered on the second day.

Osstem said that attendees of the recent meeting had been enthusiastic about the livestreaming of the implant surgery conducted in a dental clinic in South Korea. The event in Istanbul was livestreamed in China via the DenAll China website (www.denall.cn) operated by Osstem’s subsidiary in China and Osstem’s YouTube channel.

In an opening address, Dr Kyoo-Ok Choi, chairman and founder of Osstem, welcomed attendees and expressed his gratitude to all taking part. He announced that Seoul would be host to the 2024 Osstem World Meeting. He declared that, after a three-year gap due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event in Istanbul was an opportunity for renewal of the Osstem World Meeting. At the end of the event, Dr Choi presented plaques of appreciation to the speakers and moderators who had led the lectures over the two days and praised their efforts in this regard.
