DUBAI, UAE: Just like the city of Dubai, dentistry is where modernism meets tradition, and while digital imaging may be common in dentistry today, it is not the only solution available. According to industry-leading imaging and CAD/CAM company Carestream Dental, who will be showcasing its extensive product range at its largest booth at the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai) to date, its imaging plate systems offer high-quality alternatives for dentists.
Practices across the globe now routinely use digital technologies to acquire radiographs and CBCT scans of their patients in order to visualise the anatomy and plan treatment effectively. However, not all dentists are familiar or comfortable with a completely digital workflow, so it is important to know that there are still options available to suit whatever working method is preferred.
Imaging plate systems, for example, provide an alternative for capturing the detail dental professionals need to deliver high-quality patient care. They offer a solution for those who do not wish to choose between traditional film-based photography methods and digital workflows, combining the benefits of both in one system for a shorter learning curve. For these purposes, Carestream Dental offers two solutions: the CS 7200 and CS 7600 imaging plate systems.
Designed for maximum simplicity, the CS 7200 system enables capturing of images, scanning of plates and reviewing of images from the comfort and convenience of the dental chair. It offers images with a true resolution of 17 LP/mm, which can be viewed on the computer screen within just eight seconds of taking them. With its compact design, it requires little space, making it easy to place anywhere in the practice, and its quiet scanning process optimises patient comfort and experience.
The CS 7600 imaging plate system offers a fully automated and secured workflow and is ideal for a multi-user practice. The 17 LP/mm true image resolution, combined with the system’s capability of rendering images with clinically relevant details, facilitates highly accurate diagnostic processes. Each plate has an electronic chip that links patient information to the correct images, automatically sending files to the appropriate patient file without user interaction. Its built-in memory prevents data loss and image mix-ups, and the plates are automatically erased once data is transferred to the computer and finished with.
To offer attendees a closer look at these two systems, Carestream Dental will be at AEEDC Dubai 2018 to explain all the specifications in greater detail. Carestream Dental’s Marketing Manager Cheryl Hayes explained that there will be a much larger booth to demonstrate the company’s commitment to customers in the Middle East. “We have doubled our presence at this year’s event,” she said.
For more information on Carestream Dental’s product range, dental professionals are invited to visit the company’s booth D01 in Hall 6.
