DUBAI, UAE: On 4 and 5 February 2019, the AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic Conference will take place for the fourth time at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The scientific meeting will be held as part of the 23rd UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai), the main programme of which is taking place from 5 to 7 February.
Four years ago, the need for specialised conferences in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia prompted the AEEDC scientific committee to create a specialty conference in orthodontics. The aim is to bring key opinion leaders together to discuss the latest developments in this field.
In 2019, the two-day programme will showcase the clinical experience and latest research and findings in orthodontics, as well as deliver the benchmark for best practice through the participation of an exciting list of speakers.
The second day will be held in conjunction with the AEEDC Dubai World Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Conference and split into two halves: one dealing with orthognathic surgery and the other congenital facial deformities. According to the event organisers, this “exclusive conference will be an excellent platform” for surgeons, trainees, allied health professionals, healthcare experts and industry partners for learning and networking opportunities.
Conference topics include temporary anchorage, aligners, accelerated orthodontics, surgically assisted orthodontics, congenital facial deformities, and cleft lip and palate surgery. These will be discussed in the form of lectures by international speakers in the field from Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and the US.
Dental professionals who are interested in participating in the AEEDC Dubai World Orthodontic Conference 2019 can register here.
