DUBAI, UAE: Today, Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al-Maktoum officially inaugurated the 22nd International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai). Over the course of the three-day event, which runs until 8 February, visitors from more than 130 countries are expected to experience AEEDC Dubai in all its facets. Since AEEDC is the largest dental event in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region and the second in the world, this event has it all, including numerous scientific activities and an extensive list of exhibitors.

Under the theme “Education and innovation transfer”, AEEDC Dubai 2018—held in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority—has a comprehensive scientific programme covering the latest advances and research in various specialities of dentistry. During the event, the most eminent speakers from around the globe will be sharing their expertise with the audience in lectures and hands-on workshops.

As for the accompanying exhibition, the latest technologies and products from more than 800 companies are on display. According to official figures, AEEDC Dubai attracts over thousands of participants and is an essential event for service providers and manufacturers in the dental industry. Business deals worth US$3.03 billion were concluded during the last edition in 2017.

AEEDC Dubai Scientific Chairman Dr Nasser al-Malik welcomed this year’s attendees, saying: “The industry and visitors eagerly await the developments that come to light as AEEDC Dubai unfolds a new chapter on dentistry and its innovations with every consecutive year. The conference programme has been designed in such a way to facilitate the dissemination of scientific information to the global dental fraternity and encourage leading innovations.”

“A highly recognised global dental exhibition presents an excellent opportunity for the key decision makers from the industry to indulge in brainstorming and a healthy exchange of industry techniques and advancements, which further lead to joint collaborations and profitable ventures,” he continued.
