NEW YORK, U.S.: As dental continuing education (CE) requirements remain in place despite the current pandemic and cancellation of in-person CE courses, many dental professionals are finding it difficult to meet the minimum mandatory hours. In order to address this issue, the Colgate Oral Health Network has been offering a free-of-charge live education series that allows dental professionals to obtain CE credits online.
The weekly series functions like a book club. Each Monday, the organizers select an array of topics for the week, and members can view and listen to the relevant presentations over five days in a podcast format. On Friday at noon EST each week, members have the opportunity to join an interactive live discussion session with an expert on the respective topic to ask questions and exchange experiences.
For members of the network, no pre-registration is required. Members may simply launch the live chat on the specified day. Attendance is limited and follows a first-come, first-served basis. To become a member, dental professionals can register free of charge at www.colgateoralhealthnetwork.com.
Vaccine-preventable diseases will be in focus next week. Dental professionals will receive comprehensive information on vaccinations and recommendations relevant to their daily practice.
More information about the educational topics and acquiring CE credits can be found here.
