Last week, a DT Study Club symposium on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital dentistry brought together dental professionals from around the world for a full day of online continuing education. In total, more than 3,900 participants registered for the event, which explored how AI is transforming clinical workflows across multiple disciplines—from diagnostics and treatment planning to practice management.

The programme offered a comprehensive overview of current and emerging applications of AI in dentistry. Through expert-led sessions, the symposium presented clinically relevant perspectives and practical approaches to integrating AI-driven tools into everyday practice. Topics covered during the event included AI-supported aligner therapy, enhanced clinical decision-making in implant and restorative dentistry, and the growing role of digitalisation, cloud-based collaboration and automated design in prosthetic workflows.

Prosthodontist Prof. Ali Murat Kökat discussed the transformation of dental prosthetics through digitalisation, cloud-based collaboration and artificial intelligence-driven design.

Dental professionals who missed the live symposium still have the opportunity to watch the sessions on demand. In total, three continuing education credits can be obtained after viewing the webinars and successfully completing a quiz.

The DT Study Club symposium series will continue with upcoming online events focusing on CAD/CAM technologies on 22 May and 3D printing on 19 June. Registration for these symposia is already open and free of charge.
