As one of the leading dental exhibitions in central and eastern Europe, KRAKDENT has grown significantly over the past three decades. Organised by Targi w Krakowie, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the event reflects broader developments in the regional dental market. Ms Woch, the 30th edition of KRAKDENT was held in 2024, and Targi w Krakowie is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. How do these two milestones reflect the evolution of both the event and its organiser?
The 30th anniversary of Targi w Krakowie not only marks a significant occasion but also reflects the company’s consistent growth and its strengthened position within the dental event industry. The 32nd edition of KRAKDENT, taking place from 16 to 18 April, marks another step in this development.

Over the years, Targi w Krakowie has evolved from a local initiative into an experienced organiser of internationally recognised events. This transformation is reflected in numerous industry awards, including the UFI Marketing Award granted for the campaign promoting the 30th edition of KRAKDENT.

Over the same time, KRAKDENT has evolved from a national event into one of the key gatherings for the dental industry in central and eastern Europe. Today, it attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of dental professionals from various countries, serving as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience and the showcasing of the latest solutions. This development has been driven by a consistent strategy and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Since the opening of the EXPO Kraków international exhibition and convention centre in 2014, the venue has played a key role in hosting international events. How has its infrastructure supported KRAKDENT’s continued growth and its appeal to exhibitors and visitors from abroad?
The opening of EXPO Kraków in 2014 was a key milestone in the development of Targi w Krakowie and KRAKDENT. The modern exhibition and congress infrastructure enabled larger-scale events, providing ample exhibition space, conference facilities and improved comfort for participants. As a result, KRAKDENT has been able to continuously increase the number of exhibitors and visitors, as well as attract companies and dental professionals from abroad by providing favourable conditions for product presentations, training sessions and business networking.

Dental exhibitions are increasingly expected to combine product innovations with education and networking. What highlights can participants expect from the upcoming KRAKDENT in terms of scientific content, new technologies and opportunities for professional exchange?
Today, KRAKDENT is not just a product exhibition but a comprehensive event combining education and networking. Participants can expect an extensive KRAKDENT-edu scientific programme featuring courses, training sessions, workshops and lectures. This year, the educational programme includes 198 hours of presentations in seminar and workshop rooms. This includes 73 hours within the KRAKDENT-edu programme and 125 hours of training sessions organised by nearly 60 exhibitors, making it one of the most extensive educational programmes in the industry.

Today, KRAKDENT is not just a product exhibition but a comprehensive event combining education and networking.

KRAKDENT 2026 will also offer presentations of the latest technologies and innovations at the booths of nearly 400 exhibitors as well as presentations on the KRAKDENT MeetUp stage, which attracts strong interest each year. This year also marks the 23rd International Dental Congress DENTAL SPAGHETTI. This combination of knowledge, practical experience and business networking ensures that the event addresses current industry needs.

In recent years, the industry has undergone significant transformation, particularly in response to digitalisation and post-pandemic expectations. How has KRAKDENT adapted to these changes, and what trends are shaping the future of dental trade fairs?
In recent years, the dental event industry has undergone dynamic changes, driven primarily by digitalisation and new expectations that have emerged since the pandemic. The KRAKDENT trade fair has responded to these challenges by developing educational programmes focused on the newest technologies and practical skills for daily clinical work.

The increasingly international character of the event is also becoming more evident, along with the growing importance of product innovation and engagement across the dental community. KRAKDENT has become a key meeting point for the dental industry, providing a platform for direct exchange, professional dialogue and an overview of the latest trends. It offers a space where developments in dentistry are visible and tangible. The trade fair also offers a preview of solutions that are likely to enter dental practices. Participants can explore and test new products and gain insights directly from manufacturers and distributors.

Over the years, KRAKDENT has consistently reflected changes in the industry. Moreover, its organisers respond to emerging market needs, including generational shifts. In 2024, a long-term strategy targeting the younger generation in dentistry was implemented, and growing interest in the event among young dentists indicates its effectiveness.
