Collaboration between DTI and IADS aims to strengthen dental community

LEIPZIG, Germany: Dental Tribune International (DTI) and the International Association of Dental Students (IADS) recently signed a collaboration agreement to help strengthen their networks and promote the important work both organisations are doing. With a combined audience of around one million dentists, industry professionals and dental students worldwide, the collaboration will bring together professionals from a variety of fields in a more informed and up-to-date format.

Representing the interests of more than 200,000 dental students in around 60 countries, the IADS shares its headquarters with the FDI World Dental Federation in Geneva and strives toward educational and scientific excellence through the international projects and initiatives it manages.

Speaking directly with Dental Tribune Online, the editor of IADS Abanob Yosry said “Signing the agreement with DTI means a lot for IADS. Firstly, we believe this can help us reach more dental students as well as practitioners from all over the world who are interested in working together. IADS is not only an organisation that publishes magazines, we also organise volunteering projects, webinars, workshops and meetings.”

For the last ten years, DTI has partnered with some of the world’s largest exhibition and congress organizers to publish over 80 editions of the show newspaper—today—for their annual events. This daily publication allows for better planning and orientation at the event, while providing general business information for congress participants and exhibition visitors alike. This new collaboration with IADS aims to unite more dental professionals in order to share their knowledge and expertise, while strengthening the dental community as a whole.

Commenting further on the new collaboration, Yosry went on to say that the IADS believes the agreement has reinforced the importance of their organisation and that everyone has been motivated by its recognition by one of the of the most influential dental networks in the world.
