Patent Medical – Symbionic Teeth

Two endosseous profiles for maximum surgical precision and clinical performance

Every patient is anatomically unique, requiring tooth replacement solutions that adapt to both biological individuality and specific clinical demands. Symbionic Teeth are designed to address this need.

Symbionic Teeth are tooth-root-shaped medical devices with endosseous and transmucosal zones. They are anchored in the jawbone and restored with dental crowns for tooth replacement. By bonding with oral soft tissue, Symbionic Teeth form a mucosal defence barrier that helps protect against plaque migration and bacterial invasion. According to Patent Medical, this may help reduce common complications associated with dental implants, such as mucositis and peri-implantitis, while supporting tissue health and long-term stable aesthetics.

To accommodate different anatomical situations and clinical requirements, Symbionic Teeth are available in two endosseous profiles, each based on a distinct anchorage strategy and intended to support predictable treatment outcomes across clinical indications.

Care Profile: Made for surgical precision and tissue preservation

The Care Profile is designed for clinicians who aim to place Symbionic Teeth as atraumatically and precisely as possible while preserving tissue. It prioritises physiological stability by minimising bone stress and compression during insertion. This profile provides a high degree of surgical control, particularly in cases with solid bone availability.

Performance Profile: Higher primary stability in demanding cases

The Performance Profile is designed for complex clinical scenarios in which immediate stability is required. By combining an apically tapered shape with a dynamic thread design, it achieves approximately 40% to 50% higher insertion torque than the Care Profile. This provides clinicians with greater tolerance to compensate for variations in bone quality.
