BERLIN, Germany: Following on the success of its Align On Tour sessions for orthodontists in the first half of 2024, Align Technology is set to host additional educational events tailored to dental practices and laboratories this year. These events will take place across five cities in Germany and Switzerland, beginning in Berlin in September.

In the sessions, Align will present the benefits of a holistic orthodontic and restorative approach in which tooth alignment enables restorative treatment that is less invasive. Through a programme focused on clinical evidence and best practice, participants will learn how digitalisation can optimise workflows between dental practices and laboratories.

Many dental practices focus strongly on restorative treatment, and achieving optimal tooth alignment beforehand enhances the effectiveness and aesthetic outcomes of these procedures. Laboratories are indispensable partners in aligner therapy owing to the increasing demand for tooth alignment as a precursor to restorative care. The advanced communication and visualisation tools available today make day-to-day collaboration between the practice and laboratory much easier and more efficient.

“We are thrilled to bring Align On Tour to both dentists and dental technicians. They will have the opportunity to deepen their clinical knowledge in a practical way during these one-day sessions and learn how to further integrate digital technology into their daily practice,” said Nuray Misteli, general manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Align.

Participants can expect an informative programme that offers both clinical and practical content in dedicated sessions for dentists and laboratories, as well as time for exchange and networking. The programme speakers will be Prof. Jan-Frederik Güth, Prof. Falk Schwendicke, Prof. Tim Joda, Dr Alexis Ioannidis, Dr Ingo Baresel, Dr Kristina Baumgarten, Dr Johanna Herzog, Dr Muhammed Kiziler and Dr Michaela Sehnert, and they will cover topics such as digital medicine, meeting patient requests and cooperation between the dental practice and laboratory.

The Align On Tour events for dental practices and laboratories will start on 6 September in Berlin, followed by sessions in Zurich in Switzerland and Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich in Germany.
