DUBROVNIK, Croatia: As part of its mission to drive aesthetic implantology forward through science, innovation and education, international dental manufacturer BioHorizons has established its Global Education Tour. This year, the tour will offer knowledgeable insights on implant therapy through presentations by leading clinical experts in six countries around the globe, starting with an international symposium to be held from 17 to 19 May in Dubrovnik.

Through the tour, attendees will have the opportunity to experience innovative clinical solutions and forward-looking evidence-based protocols available to help them achieve new levels of patient care and practice efficiencies, BioHorizons announced. The educational programme for the Dubrovnik event will focus on the management of advanced surgical procedures, regenerative solutions in the aesthetic zone, and restorative results and the world of digital dentistry. Among the internationally recognised speakers are Drs Gaetano Calesini, Luca Gobbato, Bach Le, Carlos Repullo and Tiziano Testori.

In addition to the lectures, a pre-congress workshop will take place on 17 May. The course on TeethXpress full-arch immediate loading will be led by Drs Udatta Kher and Ali Tunkiwala and offer a hands-on component. It will focus on prosthetic planning for full-arch immediate loading, understanding componentry for the TeethXpress protocol, surgical procedures for achieving high primary stability, techniques for the fabrication of a screw-retained provisional, the prevention and management of complications, and fast tracking of the prosthetic workflow.

Furthermore, the symposium will offer several networking opportunities to allow clinicians to share their experiences with their peers from around the world, according to BioHorizons.

“The Global Education Tour will bring together leading implant specialists and forward-thinking attendees,” said Veronica Zamora, International Marketing Director at BioHorizons. “These highly regarded international speakers will provide exciting insights into the latest advances in implant therapy.”

From Dubrovnik, the tour will go to Santiago in Chile (8 and 9 June), Taormina in Italy (30 June), Bogotá in Colombia (24 and 25 August), Mumbai in India (1 September) and Madrid in Spain (27 October).

The education partner for the BioHorizons Global Education Tour is the Oral Reconstruction Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that sponsors research, training and education in the field of implant dentistry and related areas. As a continuing education provider through the Academy of General Dentistry, the foundation has approved the main programme for 14 hours of continuing education credit.
