CHICAGO, U.S.: The Chicago Dental Society’s 2019 Midwinter Meeting will start on Thursday and run until Feb. 23. The meeting boasts hands-on courses, live demonstrations, workshops, and more than 140 speakers. There will be something for everyone in the dental profession.

More than 200 courses will be offered, through which dental professionals will be able to learn from the leaders in dental education. The complete course catalogue can be found here. In addition to these offerings, there will be repeat courses and opportunity for earning continuing education (CE) credits.

During the meeting, the Chicago Dental Society Mentor Program will be hosting a mentor luncheon, on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. This volunteer body matches member dentists as mentors to dental students and pre-dental students from participating dental schools in Illinois.

Three prestigious awards will be granted at the opening session. The awards will honor dentists who have made significant contributions to the dental field, raised public awareness of oral health, and accomplished outstanding volunteer achievements.

There is an impressive entertainment program planned, starting on Thursday’s opening session with former NBC Tonight Show host and TV series producer, Jay Leno. Friday afternoon will offer a meet and greet for dentists who have been practicing for ten years or less, as well as a fashion show that promises to dazzle. On Friday evening, a live concert will feature Purple Xperience, a Prince tribute band. Saturday night will close the event with the President’s Dinner Dance. Further information on these special events and tickets can be found on the CDS website.

Visitors can again take advantage of the CDS Midwinter Meeting mobile app, available from Google Play and the App Store.

A comprehensive preliminary program can be found here.
