NEW YORK, U.S.: Implant dentistry has evolved at an expediential speed and with continuing success rates, dentists have been inspired to reach new levels. In a free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Tuesday, May 22, an expert will be discussing cone beam computed tomography and how it has improved analysis of clinical cases and implant placement planning.
According to webinar host, Dr. Tali Chackartchi, the degree of correlation between the virtual plan and the final placement of the implant in the patient’s mouth is very much dependent on the accuracy of the clinical steps during data collection, treatment planning and the surgical work. The webinar will present a structural approach with a step-by-step workflow. Additionally, Chackartchi will discuss the inherent potential for process errors and the way to minimize them.
Chackartchi received her degree in dentistry in 2002 and completed the postgraduate program in periodontology at the Department of Periodontics of the Hebrew University–Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel, in 2008. In the same year, Chackartchi became a senior physician. Since then, she has gone on to become a member of the department’s postgraduate examination committee and a member of several scientific committees both nationally and internationally.
The 1-hour webinar, titled “Digitalization and predictability in implant dentistry: Introducing MGUIDE and MSOFT,” will be broadcast live on Tuesday, May 22, at 12 p.m.EDT. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.
