NEW YORK, U.S.: The webinar is becoming an excellent resource that enables dental professionals to follow the topics that they find most interesting at convenient times, while also obtaining continuing education credits. In an upcoming free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Wednesday, June 5, host Dr. Dima Cosmin will look at how bone splitting can be one of the best techniques for conservative surgical treatments.

According to Cosmin, bone splitting is one of the best techniques for conservative surgical therapy. It can help to conserve patients’ bone in narrow ridges and makes it possible to insert implants simultaneously, thus significantly shortening the treatment time. During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to understand the technique better, to learn how, when and when not to perform it and, perhaps most importantly, to learn how to achieve esthetically pleasing and safe results, even in challenging clinical cases.

Cosmin graduated from the Department of Dentistry at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, in 2001. Since then, he has continued his professional development and became a certified implantologist in 2004. In 2014, Cosmin received his master’s degree in periodontics, and in 2016, he started his PhD in surgery, specializing in bone regeneration. He is a member of the Society of Esthetic Dentistry in Romania, the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the implant prosthetic section of the ICOI. Additionally, Cosmin is the scientific director of the Digital Dentistry Society of Romania.

The 1-hour webinar, titled “Bone splitting technique,” will be broadcast live on Wednesday, June 5, at 1 p.m. EDT. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.

Dental professionals who are interested in attending the course may register online here.
