NEW YORK, U.S.: The World Health Organization has declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic, and travel from Europe to the US has been suspended for the next 30 days. Consequently, a decision has been taken to postpone the Oral Reconstruction Global Symposium to 2021.
New dates are currently under evaluation, and an update will follow soon, the event organizers said in a press release. Originally, the event was planned to take place from April 30 to May 2, 2020.
Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Oral Reconstruction Foundation has been closely monitoring developments. The health and safety of all symposium attendees has always been the top priority, it said. During the last few weeks, various alternative options have been considered.
In anticipation of the Oral Reconstruction Global Symposium, the scientific committee and the symposium lecturers have been preparing to present attendees with exciting new knowledge and insights. All parties involved have stated that they will work on keeping that momentum going and will carry it forward to inspire excellence in oral reconstruction at the global symposium in 2021.
