Specifically focusing on prophylaxis and the preservation of natural teeth, the Swiss Dental Online Academy has launched a new online learning platform featuring live and interactive webinars by renowned international lecturers. All courses are taught by means of practice-oriented requirements that provide the necessary skills for gentle, painless dental cleaning. With the launch of the Swiss Dental Online Academy, dental professionals are presented with the opportunity to receive free online training and continuing education credits.
With informed patients preferring prevention over restorations and implants, and the number of prevention-oriented dental practices on the rise, the online learning platform ties in with the general shift from restorative towards preventative dentistry. Its training programmes are based on innovative, pain-free and substance-conserving biofilm management technologies known as Guided Biofilm Therapy. This training is specifically aimed at dental hygienists, dental and prophylaxis assistants, and general dentists interested in expanding their knowledge on state-of-the-art dental cleaning while improving the quality of their treatment.
The Swiss Dental Online Academy will be offering regular ADA CERP online training, and is accessible 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The topics of the courses are varied, with upcoming webinars addressing subjects like prophylaxis in geriatrics, recall after periodontal treatment and the integration of prophylaxis in everyday practice. Classes are currently available in Chinese, English, German and Italian. Membership is free and includes a multitude of benefits. All details about the planned webinars and the presenters’ credentials can be found at www.swissdentalonlineacademy.com.
