The highly anticipated PRO 20 Solution from Rapid Shape, a global leader in advanced dental technology, is now available worldwide. Launched in late 2024, this advanced 3D-printing system transforms work in dental laboratories and offices with its unmatched speed, precision and efficiency.
The PRO 20 Solution combines groundbreaking features and comprehensive connectivity to streamline digital dentistry workflows and elevate standards of care. Designed for modern dental professionals, this innovative solution redefines what is possible in dental manufacturing.
The PRO 20 comes with brand-new features that make it the most advanced 3D printer for dental professionals to fabricate an array of extremely precise dental appliances and models at blazing speed.
At the heart of the PRO 20 is Rapid Shape’s patented force feedback technology (licensed from TNO), engineered to enhance printing speeds and precision. RS Turbo builds on this innovation with smart variable layer thicknesses, increasing base layer thickness while ensuring precision in critical areas. This allows crown and bridge models to be printed in just 15 minutes at 50 μm layer thickness, achieving stunning detail at record speed. RS Turbo ensures precise layer polymerisation, making the PRO 20 the fastest digital light processing (DLP) printer available.
The PRO 20 introduces the RS Crystal Polish reservoir, delivering up to eight high-shine dental splints directly from the 3D printer with each print job. By minimising post-processing, this feature reduces the need for polishing by up to 90%, saving time while achieving superior aesthetics.
Compatible with over 200 validated dental 3D-printing resins, the PRO 20 offers versatility for a wide range of dental products. These materials include options for intra-oral use that have received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada and met the EU medical device regulations, ensuring safety and reliability. The system supports new highly filled crown and bridge materials for definitive restorations, delivering durability and exceptional aesthetics. Native connectivity between the PRO 20 3D printer, PRO wash and PRO cure streamlines workflows, and material tracking with radio-frequency identification ensures team delegation and process safety.
The PRO 20 features RS Print Studio slicing software, designed specifically for digital dentistry. Aiming to be the easiest slicing software on the market, it enables users to prepare a print job in just three clicks. Integrated with leading CAD software, such as that of 3Shape, RS Print Studio simplifies workflows further, allowing dental professionals to focus on exceptional patient care.
The PRO 20 Solution includes the first year of the CARE Plan at no additional cost. This comprehensive package provides priority support, annual remote device validation and access to Rapid Shape’s knowledge centre, a library of tutorials and self-help tools. The CARE Plan ensures smooth operation and maximised system potential.
Transforming dental manufacturing
The PRO 20 Solution is more than just a 3D printer; it is a fully integrated ecosystem designed to empower dental professionals to achieve greater efficiency, precision and patient satisfaction. With its intuitive software, automated processes and superior performance, the PRO 20 delivers a true end-to-end 3D-printing solution that saves time, reduces costs and ensures consistent results for all major dental appliances and models.
“The PRO 20 Solution represents the future of dental manufacturing,” said Elon Bar Lev, head of sales at Rapid Shape. “By combining cutting-edge speed, a reduced need for polishing and unparalleled material versatility, we’re giving dental professionals the tools they need to deliver exceptional results more efficiently than ever before.”
