NEW YORK, U.S.: Even experienced dentists with thorough knowledge of the field may often find it difficult to properly evaluate the situation and perform treatment without the help of a dental microscope, as the naked eye is unable to perceive the necessary detail. In a free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar on Wednesday, Oct. 16, host Dr. Christian del Rey Schnitzler will explore the clinical and ergonomic relevance of using a dental microscope, especially when using the CEREC workflow. The webinar will outline the benefits of using magnification devices and help participants improve their visual acuity.
The dental webinar will offer advice on how to improve detailed vision using magnification devices and CAD/CAM systems. Schnitzler believes that certain visual information may be overlooked with the naked eye. That is why he recommends using a dental microscope and CEREC to overcome these weaknesses. These technologies also improve ergonomics, making the workspace more user-friendly.
Schnitzler graduated with a degree in dentistry from the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. He is a specialist in restorative dentistry, endodontics and prosthodontics and boasts 20 years of experience as a clinical dentist. Schnitzler practices at Clínica del Rey, a dental clinic in Madrid. He lectures microscope dentistry at the Odontología Microscópica del Rey & Carrera training center. Additionally, he previously worked as a group coordinator at Dentistas sin Fronteras.
The 1-hour webinar, titled “Integration of the operating microscope in the workflow with CEREC,” will be broadcast live on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 4 a.m. EST. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. During the webinar, participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window. Those who are not able to attend the webinar will have the opportunity to watch the recording at a later time in the archived webinars section.
Dental professionals who are interested in attending the course may register online here.
