LE CRÊT-DU-LOCLE, Switzerland: FKG Dentaire, a pioneer in endodontic innovation since 1931, has unveiled the 4D Workflow, a fully integrated system designed to streamline root canal procedures while enhancing clinical precision and efficiency. The 4D Workflow combines four essential phases of treatment—shaping, equipment, irrigation and obturation—into a single, intuitive process. The system aims to help clinicians achieve anatomically predictable results more quickly and with greater confidence.
“From start to finish, it’s built around three essential goals: simplicity, efficiency and predictability,” said Dr Adham A. Azim, a leading endodontist based in San Francisco in the US. “Every component is designed to work seamlessly together, saving time and reducing stress.”.
The 4D Workflow is built around four key components that help simplify root canal treatment:
- XP-4D shaping system: Designed to adapt to natural root canal anatomy, XP-4D minimises stress on dentin and instruments while enhancing shaping precision. Its multi-phase heat treatment ensures flexibility and cutting efficiency. Matching XP-4D Bio Gutta-Percha Cones and Absorbent Paper Points enable a smooth transition to obturation.
- Rooter X4000 endodontic motor: A cordless, brushless motor capable of up to 4,000 rpm. It features a large touchscreen interface, one-touch presets and an integrated apex locator. Regular software updates maintain compatibility with future FKG systems.
- Dual Rinse HEDP irrigation: A single solution that combines chelation and disinfection, simplifying irrigation while reducing procedural time and instrument stress.
- TotalFill Bioceramic Sealer: Clinically validated by more than 120 independent studies, TotalFill offers a pre-mixed, single-cone obturation technique that provides a durable, biocompatible seal with minimal handling.
Together, these elements create a seamless workflow that reduces handling steps, saves time and supports predictable outcomes in endodontic care.
Designed for versatility and ease of use
The 4D Workflow adapts to both straightforward and complex anatomies. Its intuitive design requires minimal training, making it accessible to clinicians of varying experience levels. Each component is engineered to work in harmony, streamlining procedures while enhancing efficiency.
A legacy of Swiss innovation
Located in Switzerland’s microtech valley, FKG Dentaire has built its reputation on precision engineering and innovation in endodontics. The 4D Workflow continues this tradition, offering dental professionals worldwide a comprehensive solution for evolving clinical needs.
