The Tarnow Chu Institute Campus is an evolving educational hub through which participants can learn directly from recognised clinicians. According to Drs Tarnow and Chu, its lecture programme will feature specialists in periodontics, prosthodontics and orthodontics with experience in optimal treatment planning. When asked about the motivation for launching the Tarnow Chu Institute Campus, Dr Tarnow told Dental Tribune International: “Our goal is to reach more dentists who are passionate about adding to their professional knowledge to improve their professional satisfaction and clinical outcomes.”
Regarding the practical skills and clinical knowledge that participants can expect to acquire, Dr Chu told Dental Tribune International: “Our major focus has always been the management of problem cases in the aesthetic zone, and we use an evidence-based, interdisciplinary treatment approach. Our courses combine surgical and restorative considerations and teach the easiest, fastest, least expensive and, most importantly, the best way to manage the problem areas that patients present with.”
Dr Tarnow is director of implant education at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York and clinical professor of dental medicine in the Division of Periodontics. He is the former Chairman of the Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr Chu was a member of the teaching staff at the New York University College of Dentistry for 26 years, including as an adjunct clinical professor in periodontics, implant dentistry and prosthodontics, and formerly directed its continuing education programme in advanced aesthetic dentistry. Drs Tarnow and Chu both lecture extensively around the world and continue to produce clinical research in the areas of surgical, restorative, aesthetic and interdisciplinary dentistry. Drawing on their combined experience, Drs Tarnow and Chu provide advanced dental education in clinical techniques and treatment principles grounded in research.
The first live webinar on the Tarnow Chu Institute Campus will take place on 15 September. Participants will be able to earn continuing education credits through the campus’s webinars.
