LEIPZIG, Germany/NEW YORK, USA: Implantology, root-canal treatment, dental instruments, dental hygiene—the Dental Tribune Study Club offers webinars on various topics to viewers located all over the world. Demand by dentists has become so high that the international DT Study Club this week broadcast three webinars in one day for the first time.
E-learning has become very popular among dental professionals. They can register online for a webinar and then view the on-screen presentation by an expert no matter where they are. Participants can ask questions during the webinar via a chat window and earn CE credits by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire after the presentation.
The DT Study Club offers webinars in English, Spanish, German and Italian, among other languages. The courses are usually free of charge and can be viewed again in the archive any time after the live broadcast.
The number of both speakers, who are experts in the various dental specialties and typically have years of experience, and webinar participants continues to grow. Currently, 160,000 dentists are registered with the DT Study Club globally.
Owing to the significant interest, the international DT Study Club broadcast three English webinars on Wednesday. Among other topics, the webinars covered the latest dental technology. Traditional imaging was compared with sophisticated imaging technologies available today using CBCT. Participants learned how 3-D imaging helps in assessing patient anatomy for implant placement, implant restoration, and other related procedures. Furthermore, they received advice on ensuring optimal tissue and/or bone health after placement of an implant.
A number of webinars have already been scheduled for next year. Detailed information on the DT Study Club and upcoming webinars can be found at www.dtstudyclub.com.
