SCHAAN, Liechtenstein: Patients increasingly expect removable prostheses to both restore function and authentically reflect who they are. Subtle variations in gingival tones, patients’ aesthetic preferences and age-related characteristics are therefore important in prosthetic design. To support this evolution, Ivoclar, one of the world’s leading dental companies, has introduced new shades across its comprehensive denture portfolio, expanding the options for natural, individualised prostheses for patients worldwide.
New gingiva shade
Ivoclar has expanded the colour spectrum of its premium denture base materials—Ivotion, Ivotion Base, IvoBase Hybrid, IvoBase High Impact and ProBase Cold—with the introduction of the gingiva Shade D. This addition allows dental technicians and clinicians to reproduce a broader range of gingival shades and better meet the aesthetic needs of patients whose gingival shade is not well matched by existing shade option. As a result, both complete and partial prostheses can be designed with a more natural and individualised appearance.
Five new tooth shades expand Ivotion Dent Multi range
Ivoclar has also added five tooth shades—A4, B2, C3, C4 and D3—for Ivotion Dent Multi, its multi-chromatic milling disc, complementing the existing range of A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B3, BL3, C2 and D2. This means that Ivotion Dent Multi is now available in 14 shades, offering one of the most comprehensive tooth shade palettes on the market.
Thanks to the harmonious, natural colour gradient of the double cross-linked material, dental technicians can achieve an aesthetically pleasing result without labour-intensive characterisation. The disc has a thickness of 20 mm and is designed for reliable, streamlined digital workflows. More information on the new shades and availability can be found on the company’s website.
