SINGAPORE: This is an exciting time for 3D printing and dentistry. Earlier this year, Asiga launched two new 3D printers, the Max 2 and the Ultra, which are currently on display at IDEM Singapore. The Max 2 is a significantly updated version of its hugely popular MAX printer, having received a major packaging upgrade and a remarkable new user interface. The Ultra, however, has positioned itself as one of the most advanced dental 3D printer available on the market today.
Housing the latest 4K digital light processing imaging technology alongside the full suite of Asiga’s robust layer monitoring technologies, the Ultra delivers manufacturing certainty but with a new focus for the industry: design. With the Ultra, Asiga has brought to market a product that puts the end user at front and centre. It all starts with its new and beautifully designed user interface, which feels like something straight from a market-leading tablet or phone manufacturer. The menu navigation, infographics and responsiveness of the user interface all have a high-quality feel.
A key feature is the new touchless entry, an engineering marvel in itself. With a simple handwave gesture, the hood opens so effortlessly and silently. A magnetic build platform, a simple material tray clamping system, internal lighting and a wide range of connectivity options all convey a cleverly refined 3D printer for both the dental laboratory and dental clinic.
Another key feature of the Ultra is a new infrared heating system which warms materials to 70 °C. This supports the use of new polymer materials characterised by high impact resistance and hardness.
For more than a decade, Asiga has been a prominent brand in the 3D-printing industry, and it has become a market-leading manufacturer in dentistry best known for its robust and reliable 3D-printing technologies. The company has also responded to the rapid development of 3D-printing materials by providing its customers with plug-and-play profiles for most, if not all, market-leading dental 3D-printing materials. Its library now boasts more than 500 validated material profiles for many of the world’s best known and respected material manufacturers. Offering such freedom in a rapidly evolving industry is testament to Asiga’s objective to provide its customers with the best possible outcome in an ever-evolving landscape.
IDEM Singapore visitors are invited to attend product demonstrations at the Asiga booth #S30. More information about the company and printers can be found at www.asiga.com.
