After years of research and development, clear aligners have now been accepted as a mainstream orthodontic therapy in the US and Europe. Today, these appliances are suitable for a wide range of malocclusion cases, ranging from simple spacing and crowding to Class II and Class III cases. Modern software and 3-D controls have improved the success of treatments. In an upcoming free Dental Tribune Study Club webinar, Dr Andrea Bazzucchi will illustrate the latest innovations in aligner therapy that have advanced the predictability and final clinical results of the system.
“Clear aligner treatment, in particular the Invisalign system by Align Technology, is certainly a technique that has changed orthodontics, finally giving us the opportunity to treat our patients while respecting our treatment goals and without compromising the patients’ appearance. The objective of the presentation is to demonstrate the applicability of this method, supported by clinical results,” said Bazzucchi. In less than ten years, clear aligner therapy has progressed from achieving simple tooth movements to treating more complex malocclusion cases. These innovations are engineered to help dentists treat with greater confidence and achieve more predictable treatment using clear aligners. During the webinar, attendees will receive practical information about the Invisalign system, aimed at helping them to deliver better clinical outcomes and experiences for both them and their patients.
Bazzucchi received his DDS from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome in Italy in 1992. In 1996, he obtained an MSc in Dentistry and Orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in Ohio in the US, and in 1999, he received his second master’s degree in orthodontics from the University of Naples in Italy. Bazzucchi is an international speaker and has published many articles in national and international journals. He works in his two practices in Rome, which specialise in clear aligner treatment. He is an experienced Invisalign provider (Platinum) and serves as an international clinical consultant to Align Technology.
The free webinar, titled “Discover new possibilities with Invisalign treatment”, will be broadcast live on 17 May at 5 p.m. (CEST). Dental professionals interested in attending the course may register online here. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic discussed.
The webinar is sponsored by Align Technology, a leader in modern clear aligner orthodontics. The company designs, manufactures and markets the Invisalign system, which provides dental professionals with a range of treatment options for adults and teenagers.
